All our soles are made from high-quality materials – for natural elegance, durability and maximum comfort.
1. Classic leather sole
An elegant, traditional leather sole made from 100% cowhide. It keeps the refined look of a handmade shoe and molds to your foot over time. Ideal for formal occasions and everyday office wear.
Surcharge: +€90
Can be combined with Goodyear-welted construction
2. Leather sole with rubber protection
Designed for frequent wear. The extra rubber layer protects the leather and adds grip and resistance – even in slightly wet conditions.
Surcharge: +€50
Can be combined with Goodyear-welted construction
3. Natural rubber
The toughest, most slip-resistant choice for everyday wear. Excellent grip and high abrasion resistance, even on wet and slippery surfaces.
Included in the base price.

Choose your construction
The construction determines how the upper and sole of your shoe are joined – and affects durability, flexibility and how easily it can be repaired.

Standard construction
Our classic cemented construction, in which the sole is firmly bonded to the upper. Light, flexible and comfortable from the very first minute – a proven, solid construction for everyday wear.

Goodyear-welted
The traditional handcrafted construction, with a welt stitched between the upper, insole and outsole. A double leather sole with cork filling adds comfort and improves water resistance.
The key advantage: thanks to the welt, the sole can easily be replaced when needed without damaging the upper – for a lifespan far beyond that of an ordinary shoe.
Note: Goodyear welting requires considerably more craftsmanship and additional production steps, which is reflected in the surcharge. Only available with the classic leather sole or the leather sole with rubber protection. Surcharge: +€300

The upper determines the look, feel and durability of your shoe – from classic cowhide to the most exclusive leather in shoemaking.

Cowhide
Robust, classic full-grain leather with a natural grain. A proven material for everyday business wear – durable, easy to care for and timeless in look.
Included in the base price.

Calfskin
Finer, suppler full-grain leather with an especially smooth surface and dense fiber structure. Traditionally the preferred material for elegant, high-end men’s shoes.
Surcharge: +€200

Shell cordovan (horse leather)
The most exclusive leather in shoemaking – taken from the rump of the horsehide and traditionally tanned over several months. Extremely hard-wearing, it develops a unique patina over time and is among the rarest materials in the world.
Surcharge: +€900
Note: Cowhide and calfskin are classic full-grain leathers, while shell cordovan is a leather category of its own with no grain at all. Calfskin also requires finer hides and more careful workmanship, which explains the moderate surcharge. With its months-long special tanning and limited availability, shell cordovan is the most precious leather – and because of its density it can only be made Goodyear-welted.

Also available in other colors: simply tell us your preferred leather color in the order note. We will then get in touch with you personally to agree on the exact shade together.

Craftsmanship
Your shoes are handcrafted in Peru by experienced artisans using traditional techniques.
Only 5 weeks from order to delivery – much faster than comparable made-to-measure shoes, which often take several months. We know that a short wait and high quality both matter to our customers. That's why we hold ourselves to high standards on both.
Fit guarantee
We know that with a shoe made exactly for you, every millimeter counts. That's why we carefully check the inside measurements of every pair against your original foot data before shipping.
If the shoe still doesn't fit perfectly, we won't leave you on your own: let us know within 14 days of receipt, send back the original pair, and we'll make you a new pair with a corrected fit, free of charge.
Choose options
Complete your made-to-measure shoes with the matching Octaviano belt – made from the same piece of full-grain leather as your shoes, so leather, color and character match exactly.
We carry the details over from the shoe to the belt, too: the signature feature of your model – such as its pattern, perforations or lining – reappears as a subtle detail on the tip and keeper of the belt. For a set that clearly belongs together.
